Hummingbirds
This is the time of the year when most folks in the lower 48 States get to see the hummingbirds.
If you blink, you miss them, they are so fast. Best way to get to see them is to have a feeder in your yard.
You may have to keep a good watch on the feeder however because they come and go so quickly that you could miss the action.
You will also need a good camera if you want to photograph them. It will be a learning experience for you.
Below is a shot I took this week, 1/500 of a second at f5.6 at ISO of 1000.
BTW, did you know that a Hummingbird is the only bird that can fly backwards? It can flap its wings up to 4,800 times a minute and has a heart rate of 700 beats per minute.
and another I took on 13 Aug2017.
