The dog days of summer. Said to be the hottest days of the summer, “Days so devastatingly hot that even dogs would lie around
on the asphalt, panting”. In reality the dog days of summer have nothing to do with dog, or heat, and have nothing to do with real estate, the phrase comes from an ancient Greek beliefs about a star.
I prefer to think about the hot summer days. Days by the pool and the lake. Days when everything might move a bit slower.
Well, not in the Door County real estate world. These summer days are hot, and so are many segments of the Door County real estate market. A house with seven viewings and three offers in two days, a condo with three competing offers. Not the norm here, but lots of fun while it lasts (for Realtors and sellers at least!)
