What do you think about the Milwaukee Brewers
leaving their Spring Training home in Phoenix, Az
and moving to Gilbert, AZ?
There is a new proposal to build a mulit-million dollar, 7,500-seat stadium and sports complex built in Gilbert near Lindsay and Germann roads.
The Brewers would pay the cost of the stadium, which is estimated to be $75 millions and it's yearly maintenace.
Along with the stadium, it would include a clubhouse(50,000sqft), minor and major league practice fields, hotels, restaurants and retail stores.
According to Town of Gilbert, they are NOT currently in negotiations with the team.
The Milwaukee Brewers are continuing to work with the City of Phoenix on a long term deal to stay in Maryvale. It has a nearly 20-yr relationship with them.
