I ask this question condo seekers, that call me.
They tell me about bedrooms, view, pets, potential rentals… And then we get frustrated that we show one condo after another. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to get all the details from the prospective buyers before taking them out to show anything?
I read on AR about the techniques on squeezing information from the buyers to minimize time on showing, but the problem is that Buyers do not know it. They do not know what they would really like. They give you a standard list of wants, but it does not really mean anything.
Try asking a young man to describe his future love of his life, which he has not met yet. What are you going to get beside generalities? And if you insist on particular answers, then you would get the color of eyes, and hair, and a lot of other details, which most probably later you would not find in his bride.
Because love happens when heart suddenly sinks. No, you are not checking the color of her eyes, and color or length of her hair. You simply love everything about her; the way she walks, smiles, laughs, moves, the way she makes mistakes, which are so adorable…
Real Estate is absolutely the same way. It is about love and affection. You heart started beating faster? This might be it.
Unless you are an investor, you do not buy with a spreadsheet with all the features only. You buy with your heart.
But if it is sort of a miracle, can we predict miracles?
