Asheville NC residential Real Estate is solid with a strong seller’s market for most price ranges, home price  gains, a low inventory, and any number of multiple offers. And, as we approach the beautiful season of changing colors here in the Asheville area mountains, we see continued buyer engagement.

Inventory levels can be excellent indicators when it comes to the strength of any housing market. (More than six month’s inventory- buyer’s market/ downward price trend—Less than six months- seller’s market/ upward price trend.)  In a continuation of the inventory trend ,the 2nd quarter of 2017, inventory in Asheville was under six months in all price ranges below $1,000,000.

So, in terms of current inventory this information  suggests that homes continue to move quickly.


As strategic pricing specialists, we advise sellers to price their houses near the market value if they expect to get multiple offers from a good number of interested buyers. We do expect home prices to continue to increase until the inventory is balanced.
