Elon Musk and SpaceX are doing it again. An unmanned SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will lift off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39A to carry supplies and equipment to the International Space Station - ISS on a Dragon Capsule. This will be SpaceX’s 12th mission under NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services contract. The launch window opens at 12:31pm Eastern Standard Time.
An interesting factoid is that the ISS or International Space Station has been continuously occupied since November 2000. In the last 17 years, more than 200 people and a variety of international and commercial spacecraft have visited the orbiting laboratory. The space station remains the springboard to NASA's next great leap in exploration which includes future missions to Mars.
