I've been enjoying watching the new construction on a lot that had been vacant for quite some time across the street from me. This corner lot will be home to new neighbors and it looks like it's going to be spectacular! My new construction lender is handling the loan on this one and we can't wait to see the finished product.

Keeping tabs on the neighbor's new construction in Charlotte NC

It appears that the footprint of our neighbors' new home is taking up the bulk of the 1/3 acre lot. It seems that the structure is maxing out the city/county set-backs - I suppose every inch counts!

The value of the new construction loan in the tax records shows that when this one Closes, it's going to have quite the positive impact on our home value and those around us. Perhaps it's time to find that lake house and take advantage of this strong sellers' market!

LOL Sheila Anderson! I'm working on my hubby - nearly every week! He absolutely loves where we live (and so do I) but, I know that once he lives at the lake, he'll feel like he landed in heaven! This could take time!

Hi Brian England! I'm one of those people! We have 1/2 acre but, a large part of it is natural and fenced out. I love the smaller space to have to maintain. I could never live on a 1+ acre lot - ever again!!

Hi George Souto! The minimum requirement is 6,500 HSF but, I'm not sure what they are building. The lot size in MLS is: 72X158X84X167 - so, that's 0.32 acre. That's a lot of SF for a 2-story home on a lot that size!

Same here Sally K. & David L. Hanson! After we built, we heard from so many of the neighbors that they enjoyed walking through my house while it was being built. It doesn't bother me - I'd rather some of the neighbors walk through than some of the workers we had at the house! LOL
