- Your Lakes Region NH Weather Report, Aug. 14, 2017 -
GOOD MORNING FROM THE BEAUTIFUL LAKES REGION OF NEW HAMPSHIRE - Here's your weather summary for Monday, Aug. 14, 2017 -
Enjoy another pleasant day on the water, in the garden, or afoot on at any one of the regions mountain trails. There is so much to do and so much fun to have in the Lakes Region. Weather today will be your friend, aiding and abetting all manner of summer recreation with mostly sunny skies throughout the day and a temperature reaching a comfortable 81°.
Winds out of the west will be barely more than a cooling breeze at 7 MPH gusting to 13 MPH.
Scattered clouds will continue to drift across the nighttime sky driven by a southerly 5 MPH breeze. The overnight low temperature will be a cool but comfortable 61°.
Looks like another ideal day for light sailing, canoeing and kayaking, especially on Squam Lake. Check out the public rentals of canoes and kayaks at the Squam Lakes Association, Holderness, NH. It's a wilderness lake adventure you won't forget.
Moderate September-like temperatures have many people asking whether summer in the Lakes Region and around New England is over. The experts say, no, but expect more of the same for at least the next 7-10 days while the jet stream stays put over New England and the mid-Atlantic section of the country, bringing with it cooler Canadian air.
Temperatures should return to the 90° range during the final week of August, weather forecasters predict.
Sunrise/Sunset (Laconia): 5:50 a.m. - 7:50 p.m.
