How Important Is My Phone?

If you are like me, you depend on your phone. Mine is in constant use, making calls, receiving calls, texting, emailing, photographing, scanning, taking notes, locating properties and making appointments.

And so many things we have become dependent upon... like asking questions of SIRI, using the calculator, maps, compass and flashlight.

The phone needs to be charged!

I try not to give mine a chance to run down. When at my desk, I have the phone plugged in. When in the car I also keep it plugged in and...

I go no where without a cord and brick.

At night it is also plugged in.

Extreme temperatures affect the battery...not a concern..my phone is clipped to my waist...not in the car alone.

Never want to be anywhere with an uncharged phone.

How are you keeping your phone charged?

Hi Margaret

I often have my phone charging when I can - in my car or at my desk, and certainly at night and I have multiple chargers. With everything I use on it the charge can go down reasonably quickly.  I sure don't want to be without it when I need it, which seems to be most of the time.

Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland - one thing I know, in today's world - I can do everything and run a complete business if only I have a phone.

It used to be one of the most important 'tool' then (I remember your post on this topic), then and now, too.

And yes, my phone is usually charged fully - all the time.

I am convinced that future generations will be born with their phones attached at the umbilical cord, and they hands will have evolved with only opposable thumbs.

A phone repair person once told me not to "over" charge the phone (huh?). So I wait until it's down around 30% or so and then I plug it in. I don't know if it matters, but that's how I do it. I have charging cords in the home and both cars.

The Apple store told me I can over charge my phone too so I don't charge at night..I charge during the day to keep it up and first thing in the morning but don't leave it plugged in a night anymore. My phone is at 97% that works for me to start the day!

Hi Margaret I have a couple of phones and try to keep them charged up as I am on conference calls a lot which drains them down fast.

I love all the hookups in new cars so it is either being charged at home or in the car and my Apple Watch takes some of the load off of it. Rumor has it that the new iPhone will have wireless charging.

Hi Margaret - I do pretty much the same as you, plugging it in whenever I have access to power, but I also have a small portable back-up power supply I can plug the phone into when I'm not near a charger.

Hi Margaret - mobile phones and the internet were massive changes for realtors in the last 20 years, I wonder what the next big thing will be.
