Amazing picture.  I would almost say that second photo was taken between 1910 and 1920.  My dad told stories about how nice ladies didn't show their ankles much before 1910, and by the 1920s they were in very short flapper dresses.  He went through cultural shock because of it.

Myrl, that is so funny.  Wonder what your dad would think about TV today with all the men dressed in suits and ties and the women with dresses 5" above the knee, sleaveless with quite a bit of cleavage showing?  I can't figure it out.  Someone has to be uncomfortable.

In the collection was a picture of the old house with a dogtrot.  Also there was a newspaper article saying it was to be torn down.  Such good history that the family is missing!
