I, for one, can't see the logic in wasting productive time, or ruining my eyesight for this event. After all, the evening news will provide plenty of coverage without the risk

Mike,
Thanks for the warning about the Solar Eclispse. I'm sorry you found it out the hard way. However, I agree with Sandy and Norm Padula ... watching it on the news is how I will see it. Thanks for sharing.
Mike, I don't see all the excitement, and would not venture through lines of cars to see this.
Yikes! I definitely don't want a permanent reminder of the eclipse. I'll be enjoy the midday darkness from inside.
Mike- thanks for the reminder and yes, to those without proper protective glasses...watch it on the news later!
Good morning Mike Carlier ,
So sorry you have this embedded image! There have been so many warnings and I for one will be checking it out on the news.
Thank you very much for sharing your experience. I hope that all of your readers will take your advice.
Someone said that the best way to experience the eclipse is sipping lemonade in the shade. We have opportunities to not see the sun every night. Why not see it and damage your vision too?
Good morning Mike. I am sorry for the effects you still suffer and I will watch on television.
I am so sorry to hear this happened to you; yeah, I'm going to sit inside, watch it on tv or live streaming and enjoy the house getting darker. Saw one as a kid from inside a special box we made in class, so now it's "been there, done that."
Good morning Mike - I think that this is certainly a warning to the wise.
I hope the emergency rooms don't fill up with people who injured their eyesight. It's so tempting.
I think so many folks are gonna take that quick look, they will be sorry if they are not protected!
