Hosting a Social for Clients and Friends

 

Ann Marie Clements and her husband Jim Mead invited us to attend an End of the Season Happy Hour for their clients and friends. Dolores and I enjoyed this event and you may wish to consider this format for one of your social events.

Ann Marie is with RE/MAX Realty Group in Gaithersburg and is very well known in Kentlands, our home community within the City of Gaithersburg, Maryland. They selected one of the favorite local locations for happy hours, The Wine Harvest in Kentlands Market Square at 114 Market Street. They invited a few more than 100 people on Facebook and arranged to have wine and beer tickets to distribute as they greeted their guests. This was a successful event and was very easy to conduct.

Schools are open in Maryland

The Law:
When a driver passes a stopped school bus with red flashing lights, it is often because he/she doesn't know the law, is impatient, or is distracted.

When approaching a stopped school bus with activated flashing red lights, Maryland law requires that drivers traveling in the same direction as the bus must stop. Drivers approaching the bus from the opposite direction must also stop if there is no physical barrier, such as a median.
