Here is the perfect example of how a headline can catch your attention in a big way!

I have Google Alerts set up for a number of things, but one of them is for "midtown atlanta." This brings stories, news and events to my attention that I might otherwise miss.

Plaza Midtown Sells for $32M -- Say WHAT?

If you know the Midtown Atlanta condo market, or have followed my blog, you might know that Plaza Midtown is actually a condominium building with some 452 homes, divided between two buildings and sitting atop a parking/retail podium. Currently 1 bedroom homes are selling in the mid to upper $200,000 range and 2 bedrooms in the mid $400,000 range.

So when I saw basically the same headline as this post, I was like ...WHAT?? You can't SELL a condo building? And it certainly is worth more than that!

Ahhh...turns out...The RETAIL portion of the building was sold...and just called Plaza Midtown! But, it sure made me click on that headline really fast!!!

Plaza Midtown is a unique Midtown Atlanta living opportunity with it's retail space. It's the only condo building where you can ride an elevator to a Publix Market! Yep...rain, sleet, snow or sun cannot keep you from your milk, eggs, bread and beer! (All staples needed if there IS snow!) Additionally, you can visit Marlow's Tavern, J.Christopher's and Steele as well as some other retail offerings along Peachtree Place and West Peachtree Streets.

I suspect there will be no changes....although the homeowners association for the condos could certainly strike up a conversation about allocating 5 or 6 garage spaces to guest parking for the residents. It's a rare occassion that the retail garage is 100% full, but inside the residential gate, there is no guest parking.

Always good to keep up on Midtown News...and I try to do that for my Midtown Atlanta condo buyers.
