If you are visiting the Williamsburg area and would like to
experience a fun trip and have a nice lunch or dinner, try taking the ferry from Jamestown to Surry and dining at the Surry Seafood Company. The food is great and dining is available both inside and on a patio facing the lovely waters of Gray's Creek.

You will board the ferry near the Jamestown settlement and take the short ride to Surry.
Friday through Sunday, three ferrys run continually, the Pocahantas, the Williamsburg and the Surry.
Last Sunday, we were on the largest of the three ferrys, the Pocahantas when one of the other ferries went speeding past us. In the background you can see Jamestown Island and also an opening under the bridge leading to the island. Locals refer to that as the hole in the wall.
So if you want a pleasureable trip and a nice meal consider taking the ferry from Jamestown to Surry and enjoying a meal and/or drink at the Surry Seafood Company!
