Well it has been BAD!
All of the flooded homes in Houston, Santa Fe, Friendswood, League City, Sugar Land, Texas City and other communities will need to be reparied!
From experience I see contractors traveling in from all parts of the United States coming to repair roofs, HVAC units, sheet rock, floor and carpet. There will be an abundance of Insurance claims and there will come a point when the insurance companies will limit on how much each person will be able to get refunded. Remember the early bird gets the worm so get your clain in early.
Make sure your contractor is insured before you sign on the dotted line and make sure he has pulled a permit with your city. Be bold and call and ask the permit deparment. Don't give out a huge pay out to get the contractor started on the job. You may not see that contractor again. I previously seen a lot of people burned like this in other hurricane rodeos!
