Reaping The Benefits From My Best Business Practices
How did I get started? What should I continue doing to grow my business? Reaping The Benefits From My Best Business Practices. How did I get here? I spent time visiting with local agents, attended countless continuing education classes offered by title companies as well as previewed our available inventory during the first year of my real estate business. This routine kept me updated on our market and helped me get thru my first year as a licensed REALTOR® An Active Rain Challenge by Anna Banana Kruchten has me looking at my best business practices.
My Mentor? Her name is Jackie. I met with a new home sales consultant prior to taking my Texas Real Estate Exam. Jackie was so positive and suggested I come see her after I got settled with a broker. I did just that. While trying to learn how to generate leads in my local community I stopped by her subdivision to visit. She is the total opposite of me. I enjoyed talking with her. Jackie laid it all out. She is a born leader. Loves what she does. Her enthusiasm was contagious. I visited often - learning about new construction. She allowed me to host open houses and assisted me when needed. I began to take clients to her subdivision. I knew this would be a win / win for both of us. Affordable homes with land just outside of the city. I closed three deals in a short time period. The most exciting was my first total new build. I worked with my clients from the beginning - choosing the land, which floor plan, colors and flooring. Didn’t make a difference this deal would take about six months for me to earn my commsision. I’ve listed properties for clients to purchase one of her homes. Our working relationship is still strong after three years. I’m really thankful we met. She offered to help me, I knew this would help her also. I acted upon that gesture. This was the best business decision I made.
One business practice I’m still attempting to incorporate fully is my time management and follow up technique. It’s a work in progress. Trying new ways to keep myself on track without spending more money than I have. Keeping up with all my prospects. Filling my pipeline will be a big benefit for me in the long run. I’m perfecting this practice because not everyone I speak to is ready or financially capable to purchase at this time. I would like to keep in touch, without constantly trying to sell something. Don’t want to be pushy. I love helping people purchase their home, pre owned or new construction with the least amount of stress. Listing is my passion. I love the challenge. I plan to make either process one of the best experiences for all involved.
