This is something that I didn't know about Carlsbad. Leave it to you to provide the very best local and hyper local events going on in your area. This sounds like a great event and precursor to a fabulous Oktoberfest season!!
Hi Jeff... Charlotte has become a mecca for craft breweries and we have an increasing number of beer fests in town. They are very popular here.
These are such popular events, and as you've probably heard, beer and coffee are a big deal in the Pacific Northwest. ;) My husband would love to attend this event. D
Hi Debbie Reynolds - I'm actually not a beer far, and I won't be in town, but I have friends who are beer lovers and no doubt will be there. This event seems to grow larger every year.

It's pretty impressive how the breweries are popping up, as well as beer places that serve them. The area, I understand, has gotten quite the reputation for beers, craft beers, ales and micro-brews. And Oktoberfest is coming soon!

Microbreweries have been starting left and right in the Cincinnati area over the last few years to the point that there's some shakeout as the weaker ones are failing.
You should get Roy Kelley to fly out as Active Rain's greatest expert on beer especially IPAs.
Jeff - Bend had its brewfest last month, which was good because now we have so much smoke in town due to forest fires. Hope you have a lot of fun at your town's brewfest. 
Jeff we have Octoberfest coming up pretty soon. Your blog reminds me I need to check out the date.
My son moved to Orlando last year and complains every time we chat that he misses all of the amazing local microbreweries here, Jeff! It seems that every month, a new one is cropping up!
We have an Octoberfest each year and by this time LAST year, the darned thing was sold out for this year! We definitely have a huge following here for breweries too.
