GOOD MORNING FROM THE BEAUTIFUL LAKES REGION OF NEW HAMPSHIRE - Here's your weather summary for Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017 -
Okay, fall colors aren't appearing just yet. Fair enough. But we all know it's in the air - mild days, cool nights, quiet streets. Pumpkins are ripening. New Hampshire is getting dressed for bed but it hasn't quite turned down the covers. There's still time to watch another late night episode, or two, of Shark Tank and to turn on the Kindle for a bedtime read from our latest favorite book.
There's are still pleasant September days to enjoy outdoors in the Lakes Region - on the water, in the hills, on the golf course, everywhere and anywhere your interests may take you. Today is no exception, even though forecasters are calling for a 50-60% chance of showers, meaning, of course, that there is an equal chance that no rain will fall and the sun will peak out occasionally from behind the clouds.
The daytime high is expected to reach a comfortable 71° under partly sunny skies with a light breeze out of the west to 8MPH, gusting to 13 MPH. The threat of rain diminishes into the evening and overnight as the temperature drops to 51° under mostly clear skies.
Rain returns to the forecast tomorrow and stays in the weather picture through Sunday. Daytime temperatures wil be cool, with highs in the mid- to upper-60's
