Sacramento County Listing and Sales Statistics for August 2017

Real Estate Agent with GreatWest Realty DRE# 00827565

Sacramento County experienced a -13.2% decrease in number of homes listed FOR SALE in August 2017 vs. the same month a year ago.

For the same period there was a -8.5% decrease in homes SOLD. Pending Sales increased 9.7%. 

Interest rates continue to remain reasonably low.  For those able to find suitable homes, it's a GREAT time to buy.

What's really interesting, Myrl, is the fact our average square foot prices have continued to climb since the first of the year. While median and average sales prices might fluctuate a bit, this trend has remained a constant. Our average per square foot price in Sacramento right now is 222. We started out the year at 201.
