I bet you imagined this was going to be another one of those long drawn out engineer posts that just about everyone but an engineer prefers to avoid at all costs. And I'll also bet you wondered what did the 'flight of bacon' photo have to do with days that end in Y. Am I right or am I right? Wait....who is that comedian that says that. I have no idea, do you? Ok now let's get back to my original point. What was it? Are you as confused as I am right now? Was it because I like bacon? No I don't think so.
Oh yea - days that end in Y. As an engineer that's pretty easy to explain! Every day is full of Why's. Why this? Why that? Why not? Who's why was that anyway? Why didn't it work? Why can't you figure it out? Why did that part not arrive? Why? Why? Why? We are constantly solving big whys day in and day out, year after year. Why do we do this? Because we like solving things. And we like putting things together to! We are just flat out strange people. Why? Ok I'll stop now - I promise.
Another day that ends in Y from an engineers perspective
Love it. My grandfather used to laugh about my boyfriend who would hang over his neighboring fence when he was small & ask Grandpa "Why this? Why that?" Little did he know that small inquistive boy would be a BIG deal in this girl's high school life later on.
