Hi All
The handling of this Equifax Hack is totally out of hand.
Yesterday I provided information I had gathered from various medias on this hack notification of our breach of personal information including our names, addresses, social security numbers, and more.
This evening I viewed on the national news that Equifax put a blind disclosure on their site stating that by participating in this protection offered we as consumers are waiving our rights to participate in any class action suite relative to this breach. Goverment officials and Consumer Advocates have expressed their utter dis-satisfaction with this action on Equifax's part.
We were told to notify Equifax to remove us from their website if this is to void our ability to participate in any class action suite or other actions as a result of the hack of information.
I have done that. I have also registered my disappointment in their handling of this very sad event and distain for the inclusion of such a disclosure on their notification site.
I sent my email to: customerservice@equifax.com and also addressed it to the only name I had which is relative to the media disclosures by equifax I mentioned in last nights blog:
Ines Gutzmer

Please reach out and verify whether your participation nullifys any ability to participate in a class action suite or other actions relative to the breach in our personal information.
Regards, MaryBeth
