Alameda Walks on Saturday, September 9 at 9:00 am to 10:15 am, to check out the old naval air station and Cohen’s Wharf, USS Hornet, harbor seals and much more. The walk will be led by Eric Kos and Dennis Evanosky who know practically everything about Alameda’s history. The group will meet at Hornet Field at 250 West Hornet Avenue. The Alameda’s Farmer’s Market is open to the public Saturday September 9, and Tuesday, September 12 mornings from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, rain or shine. All the fruits and vegetables are available at great prices. So good! Don’t miss the opportunity to shop for delectable fruits, vegetables and flowers. The market is on Webster Street and Haight Avenue and is open rain or shine.
Alameda South Shore Center and Off the Grid food trucks will be at South Shore on Saturday, September 9, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the South Shore Center parking lot in front of Petco.
Crab Cove for Family Nature Fun Hour for “Going on a Bug Hunt” on Saturday, September 2, at 2:00 pm to explore and find bugs around us and more then see what is going on at the Visitor’s Center. Crab Cove is located at 1252 McKay Avenue. Please call 510-544-3187 for more information.
