Learning new tricks.
Someone said that "You're never too old to learn". I believe that.
Recently I've been photographing Hummingbirds. Now that's a neat trick if you have the time and patience to learn.
First, I need to know at what exposure to set my camera at.
Second, I need to have a good area to attract them and keep them coming.
Third, I need to have a good background for the shot.
And fourth, I'll need to guess where to focus my camera.
You see, they move very fast and you can't just set the camera on "auto" because by the time the camera sets the focus, the little guys are gone. The only way to anticipate where they will be for a split second is to have a food source readily available. Watching their movements will give you an idea of where to focus.
Lastly, I take plenty of shots. I take on average over 100 every morning the sun shines of my feeder.
I have a few shots below, but if you want to see more just go over to the link at my photography website. Thanks for viewing.
