The 2017 National Drive Electric Event In Middletown, CT September 16th. is a part of the National Drive Electric Week being celebrated from September 9th. to 17th.  The National Drive Electric Week is a national effort which began in 2011 to bring more awareness to "availability of plug-in vehicles and highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more."  These vehicles are not only fun to drive, they cost less to operate, are better for the environment, promote local jobs, and reduce our nations dependency on foreign oil.
