Addison Pacesetters Discover Hidden Dallas - Part 1
Addison Pacesetters (Addison, Texas residents 50+ years of age) participated in a tour of Dallas's "hidden gems" in and around the city. On September 13, 2017, a few dozen Pacesetters boarded a tour bus, not knowing where we were headed. Only the tour leader - Jeanine, from Dallas By Chocolate, had the itinerary. Even our Pacesetter coordinator, Deena Hermes, didn't know where we were headed.
On board the bus, we began the journey with wine and, for those smart enough to answer trivia questions about Dallas, chocolate. Despite rush hour traffic, we had little trouble getting to our first stop.
The last house built by Frank Lloyd Wright is in Dallas. Who knew? It's located at 9400 Rockbrook Drive, near Northwest Highway, east of Midway. It is occupied by the Gillin family and the house itself is not open to the public. We stopped at the gates for a photo opportunity.
Back aboard the bus, on to the next destination!
