Allow me to explain how you do this.
In public speaking, it is well understood that what the audience sees is far more noticed than the words we say.
And when it comes to counting your blessings, the best way is to write them
When you write them you see them, and your mind recognizes you are writing them as well.
If by chance you are especially experiencing challenging times, get a pad of paper and begin writing and you will find you have far more than you normally recognize daily.
Eyes to see
Ears to hear
Just to name a few and help you get in the right mindset.
As an example, for myself personally this year has been a magnificent experience.
July my first heart attack. August pulmonary embolism.
I was told the heart attack was severe, also that I have an enormous strong heart.
Pulmonary embolism. I had never heard the words before. Then I learned from doctors and many friends I was fortunate to have lived through it.
Someone mentioned celebrities who died from it. I looked up over 25.
Then one of my friends told me, “God still has plans for you.”
When you decide to write that list… Don’t forget to add to it you live in America.
We are a blessed nation.
And we are One Nation Under God. Even if some do not believe it.
I hope your day is as good as mine.
Oh, each of us have our problems. But make a list of them also, and your list of blessings will outnumber the problems, issues, and challenges.
