Investor challenge: Prospective buyers for an investor's remodeled house in Paramus, NJ were consistently commenting that the childrens' bedrooms were too small to fit the full size beds most people want their children to have these days.  Solution: Stage the main living areas and 3 bedrooms -- including the master -- to show buyers that the small bedrooms CAN comfortably fit a full-sized bed, and that the master bedroom coulld accommodate a queen bed, 2 nightstands, and a dresser.  Result:The investor writes: “the rooms look much bigger and we now are getting a lot more interest, including 2 offers." Update: the house is under contract within a month of staging, at a slow time of year.

Staging is a relatively small marketing investment of typically 3/4 to 1% of the list price of a home -- that always results in much better photos and usually faster sales at higher prices!
