For someone who just finished reading the book FLIP,I appreciate this blog. It opened my eyes to Real Estate Investing.  And you said "A troubled investment property holds the areas rental rates down. It pulls in the most noticeably awful sort of occupants that can't lease somewhere else. Something like that was mentioned in the book.
