Good morning, Joanna --- great shot. I can't come up with anything clever but I'll be back to see how the thread in this post develops(or unravels).

Hi Joanna... I was wondering where you were going with your title... great picture and really needs no words.
That is a lot of colored threads. I will take yellow...but which shade!

Hi All,
So glad that you love this. Norma J. Elkins and Lise Howe and Dorie Dillard and Grant Schneider and William Feela - this was taken in a textile store in Pietrasanta Italy-I just loved the colors-they made tapestries as well as beautiful clothing.

Not the tools of mine but I can appreciate them in the hands of a true artist.

My eyes are drawn to the harvest colors in this carousel of colorful spools. Must be my autumn state of mind. Regardless, it's oddly soothing. D

Joanna,
What a great shot, of the tools of the trade. And the colors are so clean and clear. A

That picture reminds me of my friend who is a quilter. She has a collection similar to that one, but always complains she doesn't have the right color.

I totally agree with you Joe Pryor and in this town of Pietrasanta, all who lived there were true artists.
Thanks so much Ron and Alexandra Seigel and Myrl Jeffcoat - I can appreciate a good thread collection for sure.
Are you in an autumn state of mind Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD ? Here in New York we are still having a strong indian summer.
It's summer type temps here too, but the light is softer and it's got that fresh cool nip in the air in the am, and at night. :)
Tonite is the first night I will be able to sleep comfortably with windows open and no fan or air conditioning Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD . I love that nighttime nip!
That is either a dress shop or a monogramming place. You have such interesting travels.
I love all the colors. When I saw this photo I automatically thought of the shop here that have all the threads on a wall.
Awesome picture ... thanks for sharing!
