PVE-CARES UPDATE – 2017 Annual Senior Health Fair

PVE-CARES Senior Health & Wellness Fair will take place on Friday, October 13, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Neighborhood Church located at 415 Paseo Del Mar, Palos Verdes Estates.

Palos Verdes 12th Annual Senior Health & Wellness Fair is offered by PVE-CARES (Community Assistance and Resources for the Elderly and Seniors). The program was created by the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department to assist seniors so they may live independently and feel safe in their homes on the Peninsula. The program offers many different events to increase awareness of what the city offers for seniors – updating them on security issues, how to notify the police department when leaving on vacation to local assistance in health care and medical needs.

Palos Verdes homes owners will once again be able to get free flu shots for seniors and other medical screenings. PVE-CARES will be hosting 50’s music courtesy of Chaussee’s Big Band and lunch will be served for the participants. The Fair will also feature an opportunity drawing for prizes and over 40+ exhibitors of local resources geared toward senior services. There will also be the opportunity to “Ask the Doctor, Pharmacist, Dentist or Lawyer” those questions that you have been wanting answered. This is an excellent opportunity to take advantage of these great services, and also to have a relaxing visit at one of the most beautiful, historic locations on the Peninsula.
