Depending on your price range and expectations for a new home, your home search can take any where from two or three times out or up to a year or two. How can we find a way to make the most of your time

-Know the market
-Understand what your purchasing power will get you by speaking to a mortgage professional
-Make a list of willing to compromise or not
-Be prepared to jump on a house
-Partner your with real estate agent to save time
-Trust your agents knowledge and experience for home values & the buying process
-Decide on a couple of different neighborhoods or at least a town or two that you want to focus your search on
-Understand what is typical for a home in your price range for the area

Is there a best time to be looking for a home? Typically in the serping market, there is more homes on the market but there is trypically more activity from buyers so their could be competion. If the home stays on the market during the winter months,  it means the seller is usually motivated. Honestly, you should always stay looking because there is no guarantee when the right house is going to hit the market.

Once you find a home and secure an offer, the whole process takes about 2 to 2.5 months to close for a traditional resale home. In some cases, you might be able to close quicker if the sellers have relocated out of the property, you can get your mortgage faster or doing a cash purchase. When we meet, we can discuss the local Danbury,CT housing market, what you are looking for and to start the process. You can view all of the current listings here.  I look forward to hearing from you.
