I specialize in selling homes on large lots and acreage. These properties, which may include farms, ranches and horse property, are not just homes. They represent a lifestyle choice. As result, I have opted to personally photograph most of the properties that I list because I want to capture what it would feel like visit or own that particular home.
Just like people; not all lots, homes, buildings or animal pens are particularly photogenic. Tonight, as I’m considering how to best show off a vacant 40 acre lot that does not have a single tree, building, cow or horse on it, my mind keeps drifting back to my recent experience of photographing a multi-purpose animal pen that I “staged” with my own chickens.
It has gotten late, so the reasons why I staged the property will have to be saved for another time. However, I will say that I do feel that the photographs staged with chickens contributed to finding a buyer for the property.
Real estate photographs are important part of the marketing efforts.
