Real Estate is a people business . I find it is not a 9-5 job . I do like to keep a schedule . Check my email first thing in the morning after my cup of coffee . I used to check with my first cup of coffee ; but now I need to drink a cup first . You see I have clients on auto email with the local MLS so if a new listing comes up I want to know just in case I need to schedule showings . Time management may change if a property becomes available in this hot market if my clients snooze they lose . So I may have to change all my plans .
Then I do one of two things either I get ready to go to the office or outside appointments or I check Active Rain and blog . If I start to blog I never get out of the house on time . Blog time is very detailed and to me is work . This is how communicate with the public about important Real Estate information that I feel will be important and useful .
In doing so I reach a group of people that are searching for this specific area and living style. They may have questions and decide to call or email me . Sometimes we find we can work together . If our communication level is good we move forward into a client agent relationship . Sometimes we just have a nice conversation .
Sometimes I write great information on neighborhoods and no one calls . I wonder why. then suddenly the phone starts to ring . I call it blog time . I love it makes me feel so good when blog time works and those calls come in . It really works all the time .You see people are reading . They just may not be ready to call .
Now if I am working outside of the house I have learned quickly just check my email . Once I start doing anything else online time starts to fly and before i know it minutes turn into hours. So outside business it is. Here I go in the car with the radio on singing on my way to work . Siri how do I get to -----------
My day maybe scheduled by my clients some days
Real Estate is a people business not a 9-5 job
