Fall is in the Air and the Trees Show It!

By

It is 46 degrees in Aurora, CO and air feels crisp and cold!

I am not quite ready to retire my flip flops for the year, but it looks like furry boots will be coming out soon.

As I walked through the neighborhood this past weekend, I noticed some beautiful colors in the leaves on the trees.

My front yard is already gathering fallen leaves.

The leaves are pretty but that means that soon the trees will be naked and we will look at brown for the next 6 months.

I will enjoy the colors while I can and hope the trees aren't covered in white anytime soon!

Hi Belinda -- while it's a bit different in Southern California, I can feel a bit of change in season here too --- yesterday, I saw someone in a convertible wearing a sweater...brrr

Belinda Spillman - Here in Texas, I noticed leaves started falling from the trees sooner than years prior. In Montana, I didn't get to see any fall leaves; just wild fire devastation. it was so sad. Change is definitely in the air. Let's hope for positive changes all around the country and the globe.

Hi Belinda. I've put away my summer clothes. The sweaters took their place and the turtlenecks will be soon to follow!

Hi Belinda Spillman

The downside of Fall is the emptiness and brown it leaves behind while we await Spring and new life.

We haven't had a significant drop in temperature here in Sacramento yet.  Our leaves are still green.  Those in your pictures are stunning.

Belinda,

When I think of fall in Colorado, the Aspen trees always come to mind.  They are so distinctive and lovely.  Nice photos.  A

With the temperatures going down this is where I start feeling like a goose who wants to fly south for the winter.

Hi Belinda - Lovely photos. The aspens were really pretty yesterday up in the mountains, and I changed my closet over to my winter clothes this morning - but I hope I pulled that trigger too quickly.

Hi Belinda- the only fallen leaves we have here are the ones on the ground from Irma!  But, I do love all of the fall colors and miss seeing them.

In Florida, the deciduous trees go from green to brown.  The evergreens do have the four seasons, but they are 4 shades of green.
