Ring ring.........Ring ring........ Who the heck is calling me at 6am??? My business hours are not till 9am!! Let it go to voicemail..........Ring Ring.......... It's 6:01am!!!! I better answer maybe it's an asset manager on the East coast and they wanna give me a million dollar listing!!! I answer the cell phone and guess who it is???? Local police dept wanting to know if I am the listing agent responsible for a REO. Why yes I am....What's the emergency to get me up so early?? If you wanna write an offer you are going to have to wait at least until the bank sets a price. :)

After the very calm officers tell me that my listing has been broken into, and the guy who broken into the property they have in custody.  They also tell me of the damage he caused and I have some security measures I am going to have to take. Also the neighbor who called the police is going to be placing the man under citizens arrest. Oh and by the way there is feces in the downstairs toilet and the water has been shut off!! Are you serious???? Are you serious that this is what I was woken up to this morning??? Feces??? (Awwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!)

Best part is after I haul up to the property the neighbor who called 911 want to buy the property for his daughter!! How awesome is that. Feces and comission!! Gotta love this job!!

What a story. Was the neighbor so anxious to see the property, that he could not wait till 9 and broke in? (LOL)

UPDATE...............Same guy just broke in again and I am on my way to file a police report for B&E!!! Seriously??? CRAZY!!! I have appts all week to get this property cleaned up and the AM wants me to board up the prop!!! I have yet to see a boarded up property here in the OC. Wish me luck!!!

Funny story Stacie.

I too had a REO with a "present" left in the master bathroom. I couldn't deal with it. I ended up selling the "gift" along with the rest of the house. That my friends is the true meaning of "AS-IS"!
