October is a great month with the change of seasons, falling leaves turning beautiful colors, lots of festivals and celebrations, even an opportunity to scare a few folks and eat lots of candy. According to Northern Colorado real estate broker, Dick Greenberg, October is also photography month. Greenberg hosts an annual photography contest, so I'm going to enter this photo in the "Real Estate Exterior" category.
This photo captures suburban America at its finest. Nestled in suburban Atlanta, The Retreat at Jones Mill subdivision is located just south of the city. I recently sold a home in this community. When I took the listing photos, I wanted to get a picture of the streetscape, so I snapped this one on my way out of the development.
I took just one shot, but lo and behold, didn't this first shot turn out to be the best shot? Look at the sky so blue and the yards so manicured! I did not have to retouch this photo at all or put it through any photo editors. It was perfect 'as is' and captured this subdivision well. I know it gave prospective buyers a good feel for the neighborhood and what might be their future home.
I was able to use this photo right off the press. Apparently it worked. We were under contract in 3 days!
