Peace begins with a smile --- Mother Teresa

Fall flowers are a favorite of mine. When I get up in the moring and see the sun shining it makes me smile. If you look deeply into the center of a flower you can almost feel a spiritual connection, I know I do. Have you ever pulled the petals off a flower and said, "He loves me, he loves me not?" Why do people do that? To rip apart the petals off a flower breaks harmony with nature.

There's something about the way the petals move that moves me. It's impossible not to fall in love when there are flowers. How is it possible for plant life to grows straight up out of the ground. be nurtured by the rain,  sun, and pollinated by bees? I believe nothing is impossible. For anything is possible.

The best way I know to dress up a home is to plant flowers, pull the weeds, and maintain your lawn. What I like about Flower Mound is that I can still plant flowers in fall. On Thursday and Friday I planted Viola, Pansies, and Purple Kale. Other examples of annuals for fall in Flower Mound include the following:

Alyssum

Calendula

Dianthus

Snapdragon

Sweet Pea

One of the simpliest ways to make home improvement is to plant flowers, grass, trees, and shrubs. When choosing plants, think about providing color, scale, variety, and unity. Landscape requires planning, organizing, maintenance, and patience. But the rewards are worth it.

Patricia's Tip for the Day

©Think like a plant and never stop growing.

Those blossoms are stunners, Patricia.  At first glance I thought they may be Black Eyed Susans, but I really can't say for sure.

We share a love for gardening.  I really miss the fragrance of sweet peas and have never been able to grow them here in this warm climate.  Now, I'm heading out to my garden to see what needs some attention... and I may not be back for a long time.  Have a great weekend.
