Leander TX Living At Its Best

Aaahhhh…the freedom of purple walls! Finding myself with a couple of extra days on my hands, enjoying the peace and beautiful Fall weather, I thought about how grateful I am to be a homeowner in Leander TX – and that I could once again paint our room my favorite shade of purple. Don’t get me wrong, when I first relocated to Austin TX in 2014 and found an apartment at Colonial Grand Canyon Creek, I was pretty grateful about coming home, putting my feet up, no yard work, finding friends at the pool and gym – until neighbor challenges redirected the thought process toward homeownership again. I don’t know about you, but it sure seems to me more neighbor issues come with apartment renting than do with homeownership! Finding a nice 3 bedroom, 2 bath home in Benbrook Ranch Leander with great neighbors and mortgage PITI payments less than the rent we were paying for the apartment only putting 3.5% down is fabulous, with the added bonus of being so close to the Metro Rail Leander Station when we feel like going downtown to play. Building is exploding in this area with St David’s Leander and ACC San Gabriel Campus Leander coming soon, new homes popping up like bluebonnets-year round, and many businesses coming to our neck of the woods – I can zip over to the HEB for groceries, Farm-to-Fork/La Tapatia/Jardin del Rey/Mouton’s/Smokey Mos/Cherry Creek Catfish/Brooklyn Heights Pizza if we don’t feel like cooking, Luxury Nails and Hand & Stone to be pampered, or head over to Devine Lake Park or the trails at Benbrook Ranch Park to commune with nature - all in minutes. This is such a dynamic area here in Leander, and I love watching the growth - and the retreat with purple walls!
