Town Councilman Mark Cuthberston together with the Suffolk County Police Department have put together a day of events that will benefit just about all of us. Both events are rain or shine!
TAKE-BACK DAY Check your medicine cabinet, your drawers, cabinets, countertops and purses for prescription (and non-prescription) medicines and drugs that should be disposed of. This is the time to get them out of your home. The event is to help eliminate drug misuse, accidents and to prevent environmental hazards that can be caused by disposing of drugs down the drain or in the trash. This is a "no questions asked" environment." Whether prescription or not, these medicines can be toxic to ourselves and to wildlife. Let's be sure we take care of ourselves, our families, and our environment by disposing of any and all medicines correctly.
AVOID ID THEFT SEMINAR Just about everyone knows someone who has had an experience with ID Theft--hopefully not themselves. Come find out how you can avoid ID theft. The Avoid I.D. Theft seminar will begin at 1:30pm. Also, bring down any sensitive papers for safe and secure document shredding.
