When you're young, you're not afraid of what comes next.
You're excited by it. Dave Grohl
I was reading a particularly resonant blog posting by Michael Jacobs this past weekend and found one of his quotations hit a spot with me. It resembles a thought I have always felt about my daughter - every new person she met was another opportuity for a friend.
As we age, or as we settle into our careers, I''ve found it's easy to avoid change, to do things the way we always have, maybe take a class or two for pointers...but eventually settle back into the same old routine.
What if this week, this day, this hour...we were excited about the possibilities ahead of us?
What if we embraced change?
What if we learned something new and UTILIZED it?
What if every new person we met was an opportunity for a new friend, client, business partner, etc?
"When you're young, you're not afraid of what comes next.
You're excited by it."
