East Colorado Springs has become a popular area for Colorado Springs Home Buyers. In the month of September of 2017 the area saw 136 home sales. This number is 10% higher than the previous month and 23% higher than September of 2016.
This popularity is most likely driven by the areas close proximity to the Central or Downtown Colorado Springs neighborhood. The chart below illustrates just how affordable the East neighborhood is in relation to the greater Colorado Springs or El Paso County Real Estate market.
This affordability in conjunction with the proximity to downtown as well as the mature feel of this area is driving the renewed interest in this wonderful neighborhood.
As of this writing, the East neighborhood is on track to surpass 2016's record-breaking 1191 home sales. The only concern we have is if the market will supply enough inventory to feed the current demand.
