Goin' to see a man about a Horse?

By
Real Estate Agent with Royal Lepage Proalliance Realty Ltd.

Recently our Team Member, Ken Calcutt was returning from showing property and ran across a common opportunity for most Realtors. The FSBO. A sign at the roadside led Ken to believe that someone was interesting in selling their lovely country home.

So off he headed up the driveway, always ready to find new clients and build a new relationships.

He knocked on the door. A woman answered. Ken proceed to ask if the outbuildings nearby were included with the property for sale.

"My house is not for sale" said the woman with a look of surprise.

Ken replied, "But what about the sign at the road, HOUSE FOR SALE?"

The woman looked rather shocked and said "The sign says HORSE FOR SALE not HOUSE FOR SALE!

Well needless to say The Double Platinum Team does not list HORSES for sale and Ken is not quite the cowboy type, so he made his apologies graciously and left the woman to find a buyer for her horse.

Ken rode off into the sunset.

This recent experience will not deter us from endeavouring to meet new clients interested in buying or selling Belleville real estate. It just proves a good sense of humour is an asset in our business.

Giddy-up!
