Trains - Bridges and Night Photography
Trains travel up and down the banks of the Hudson River many times a day. Last spring, a friend showed me the best location to catch photos of the bridge where the train is just a few, safe feet away. Easy location to capture this long exposure of a freight train headed south towards New York City. Using my tripod, and proper settings for a long exposure, my favorite camera and a little magic I was able to catch the light in a unique way. Light trails are an art form I've just begun to experiment with. Practice, practice, practice. I look forward to more night photography next year in a few places while traveling.
Living in the Hudson Valley allows for a plethora of wonderful venues to take photos.
Enjoy my photo of a moving train with the Mid- Hudson Bridge in the background.
