Because you love the environment, your home, and saving money.
Winter is coming, and with the cold creeping in, we’re bluntly reminded about the importance of insulation as we hope to stay warm and keep energy bills low. As a homeowner or renter, you have options with Retrofit Baltimore.
Retrofit Baltimore is a program of the non-profit Civic Works, whose mission is to help the state of Maryland meet their carbon emission reduction goals by providing assistance to homeowners to make their homes more energy efficient.
More precisely, Retrofit Baltimore pairs each client with an Energy Advisor who coordinates everything from the initial consultation to the implementation of recommended updates. These updates may include sealing leaks, updating insulation, or adding solar panels.
Retrofit Baltimore partners with vetted contractors, so quality work is guaranteed. In fact, they train and certify members of underserved communities, and pay the contractors family-sustaining wages. Additionally, grants and incentives are offered for low and moderate-income clients, making the process of going green free to low-cost.
By working with Retrofit Baltimore, you’re investing back into the local community, lowering your monthly energy bills, and lowering your carbon emissions. For more information, call 410-929-6139 or visit retrofitbaltimore.org/sign-up
