An ActiveRain Challenge
The November seasonal Active Rain challenge by Jim Cheney is to share how I show my clients, business associates or friends and family that I’m thankful for their business and/or friendship.
I have been part of an organization “Celebrate Our Town” since their inception in 2009. Their motto is “Building Communities One Home At a Time.”
Gregg and Renee Kaiser (Newlyweds) - Buyers
After I have a closing with a Buyer or Seller, I am able to “gift” the New Homeowner a Basket filled with certificates and a variety of surprises with no strings attached – all provided by area businesses welcoming the New Homeowner to the community. It is done in hopes that the new homeowner will make the choice to shop local and shop small businesses in their New Home Town. Also included in the gift basket are County and Town booklets, a Wisconsin state map, county park info, biking and hiking trail maps as well as a list of “Needs” of the County nonprofit organizations / local charities – so when they are unpacking they may find some items they will no longer use (what may be junk to them can be someone else’s Treasure).
A Busy Month - Many Baskets to Deliver
As a Realtor, I am proactive in being the first contact or friend the new homeowner may meet after they move into their new home. This gives me an opportunity to spend 30-60 minutes going through the basket and reviewing each gift and goodie -- spending quality time and building rapport.
