Fudge Pot Fairbanks Do you have a hankerin' for some fudge? Does the thought of freshly made chocolate pecan fudge make your mouth water? If so, I know just the place you need to check out.

Located in downtown Fairbanks, The Fudge Pot is a Fairbanks treasure. They have been satisfying Fairbanksans sweet cravings since 1997 with some of the best fudge in the state. Do you like plain 'ol regular fudge? How about mint chocolate or my personal favorite, butter pecan. I'm telling you, this stuff is so good it'll make you swallow your tongue. Well, ok, not really but it is darn good stuff.

In addition to mouth watering fudge, the Fudge Pot also serves espresso and delicious deli sandwiches. Enjoy a sweet treat or lunch while overlooking the Chena River in downtown Fairbanks. Just across the street from the Visitors Center on First Avenue, The Fudge Pot is sure to be a hit with everyone in the family.

Don’t forget to check out their gift shop with t-shirts and Alaskan souvenirs too. There’s no telling what you’ll find you just can’t live without. You can also order their delicious fudge online and have it delivered right to your door. Yummy!

Jesse, I am a fudge-a-holic. I had to go through a 12 step program to get weaned off the stuff. Just seeing your post is enough to put me back on the wagon. LOL

Mmmmmm. Fudge. Yum. It looks like the kind that melts slowly in your mouth. Well, without the pecans. Now I won't be able to get fudge out of my mind, thanks to you, dude.

Last week while showing homes, I came across a big ol' chocolate cake, with double-fudge frosting sitting on a kitchen counter in plain view. The cake was displayed on an elevated glass server with a piece already cut out, so I could see the oozing chocolate between the layers and the moistness of the cake was glistening. I was tempted to tell the buyers, "Hey, go check out the back yard," so I could lift the lid of the glass cover and swipe a piece of frosting with my finger. But my fingers had been touching grungy lockboxes, so I thought twice about it.

Jesse - I LOVE Fudge :)  Just reading your post reminds me of some family trips we took up on Mackinaw Island in Michigan when I was a kid. Great post!  When I get around to visiting Anchorage.  You can be sure I'll be stopping by for some fudge.

Oh Jesse, Why did you bring up fudge when I'm trying to lose weight????? I'm a chocoholic...if its chocolate, I'm there! My Grandmother used to say that she would eat a door knob if it were covered in dark chocolate...I guess the apple didn't fall far from the tree.

Roberta - I have my own mouth watering from the post.  I may have to sneak down when we get back and get some.

Michael - Oh, man... sorry about that.  Just one little bite wouldn't hurt would it?

Don - I'm telling ya... that butter pecan... it's some kind of good.  :)  Free samples for comments?  That would probably set some kind of comment record, don't you think?

Leesa - It's not often that I pass it w/o going in. It is actually a very cool little shop.

Mary - Sorry about that.  Let's do a swap.. NC strawberries for Alaskan fudge!

Lizzie - I think you've been permanently nicknamed, btw. :)  If you dream about fudge tonight, you can blame me!

What does it say that I can see you standing at the counter thinking... "what one little swipe of frosting?"  People should just not leave that stuff out if it's not for us, ya know?

Mott - That sounds like a darn good trade to me!  I love a good homemade Key Lime Pie.

Jessica - Aaah, memories of fudge. :)  Let us know when you're headed up... we'll give you the 10 cent tour.

Monika - This stuff would kill you then... it's absolutely deeelicious. LOL

Debbie - Diet?  I know I've heard that word before, but... LOL  Forget the diet woman.... we're talking fudge!

Ruthmarie - Oops... looks like I sunk two diets tonight.  You've got those huskies to run with... you'll be alright.  Have another piece. LOL

Alright ya'll.  I found this picture tonight and it seemed to fit.  Rules to live by!

That sounds sooo good right now.  I have to say, it is hard to beat my own.  I would be willing to try it but have a very biased opinion.
