Entry for Jim Cheney - Thankfulness An AR Contest
Life is the fire that burns and the sun that gives light.
Life is the wind and the rain and the thunder in the sky.
Life is matter and is earth, what is and what is not,
and what beyond is in Eternity.
--- Lucius Annaeus Seneca
Whether or not it is recorded that the actual first Thanksgiving occured in November doesn't really matter. However, it is fitting that our country celebrates Thanksgiving Day during the seasonal change during autumn, just before winter. As temperatures cool down after 2017 western wildfires, water receeds after hurricanes Harvey, Marie, and Irma, and people all over these United States put their lives back together it is time to show clients, business associates, family and friends just how thankful we are for having them in our lives. Whether 2017 felt like it was long or short, one thing is certain people, creatures, trees, plants, and home ownership matters.
This girl's heart is on fire with passion and gratitude. I have been changed by life experiences. If 2017 has taught us anything at all, letting go is never part of anyones plans or annual goals. Showing appreciation has to be a reoccurring theme. People come into and go out of our lives for many different reasons. Regarding business acquaintances, family, and friends, I am present for their needs in thoughtful and unexpected ways. In business, when the deal is over, I shower my clients with special gifts. For good Agents on the other side of the transaction, I write letters to them or their Broker to let them know what a great job they did and how thankful I am for them. Privately, behind the scenes before, during, and after (whether people believe or not) I am always keeping them in prayer. As a Real Estate Agent, I hear their intimate stories, concerns, hopes, and dreams. I get to know about them and their family members. After closing, I keep in touch at various intervals. I do not keep all people on a mass marketing thank you card plan just for the holiday - I do that 365 days out of a year when they least expect it. Each one is special. This girl's heart is on fire. I am filled with passion and gratitude.
