Bob and I were in wine country these past few days and as the photos above indicate wine country is open for business. The fires though catasprophic only burned 4 wineries out of the hundreds there. Many have lost their homes but they need your support by visiting this beautiful part of our nation. If you cannot go there please buy lots of Napa and Sonoma wines to support their economy so they can rebuild their lives and livelihood. Take time out to tast the wine and enjoy life.
I am so glad to know that the region is still alive. We plan to go next year and do a little wining.

Such a wonderful way to support Napa & Sonoma wine country as I'm sure many wonder if they can or should visit the area due to the news of the recent fires, Yolanda. The media has made it seem as though all wineries in the area were impacted by fire and I keep expecting CA wine prices to skyrocket as a result.

Beautiful. We have wine country all over Texas, so the vistas are varied. We have 4 just in our immediate area around town.
Yolanda, do you have the vivino app on your phone? I just learned about it from a GF whose daughter is in the wine industry in France (lucky girl). Anyway, if you sign up, send me your info and I can put you in as a friend and we can then share wine reviews, etc. It's really cool! You take a photo of the label (once you install the app) and it pulls up all kinds of info about it. You can review it and I just reviewed one I got at Trader Joe's from Spain (OMG, so good!!!). I put it on Facebook.

I hope business continue to grow and more people will be returning which will help the economy. I would love to go back to visit - no doubt it would be quite a shock to see the devastation but glad to hear only 4 wineries were burned. I certainly do my part to support the wine industry when I can!
