Another Alexandria Va Short Sale Approved
4860 Eisenhower Avenue #186 - Wells Fargo Short Sale

Alexandria VA Short Sales - Many people have asked me if I am "still doing short sales" and the answer is a resounding, "ABSOLUTELY!"

One of the things that really annoyed me when the real estate market shifted, was the number of agents who refused to help homeowners with a short sale.  It bothered me that some agents and brokers were there when times were good, but figuratively pulled down the blinds and locked the doors when homeowners needed help avoiding foreclosure.  These homeowners need our help.

There's no doubt that the current real estate market in Alexandria Va is hot.  In September, the average sales price for a home was $554,799, in September 2016 it was $508,785.  But there are still homeowners who face a financial hardship, and who's property does not realize the same gain as other properties for sale in Alexandria.

The homeowner at 4860 Eisenhower Avenue #186 in the Exchange at Van Dorn, found me online and inquired about help selling her Alexandria condo.  She was facing multiple financial hardships and it was clear that owning this property was burden on the household and it needed to be sold.

I contacted the Wells Fargo Short Sale Department to get the most current information on their short sale process.  After confirming her eligibility, we were able to list her condo for sale.  With some light staging, and professional photography, the property received lots of showings, and finally a buyer who was willing to make an offer and wait for the bank to approve the short sale.

We went under contract on September 19, and received short sale approval from the Wells Fargo on October 10, just under 30 days.  After a satisfactory home inspection, this homeowner can look forward to closing soon, and breathing a sigh of relief knowing that she no longer has this burden.

Even in a good economy, there are unexpected life events that can have a negative financial impact on the household.  Regardless of how much money you used as a down payment when you bought, regardless of marital status, and regardless of zip code, there are circumstances beyond our control that affect our day-to-day lives.  If you are a homeowner and you find yourself upside down on the value you of your home and need to sell, please call me at 703-623-8759.
