That's a Long Line of Leaves

By

I woke this morning to the sound of leaf blowers in front of my house.  The landscape company who takes care of our front yards and common areas had dueling leaf blowers cleaning up the crazy amount of fallen leaves in the neighborhood.

These guys know what they are doing.

I think it is somewhat of an art-form with them the way they blow all the leaves into a long skinny line all the way down the street.

Hopefully no one needs to "leave"  their home before they gather up the piles.

A leaf snake making it's way through the streets. They do seem to have this leaf gathering down to an art. Thanks for sharing. D

Escaping the incessant sounds of mowers, weed whackers and blowers is why I love Winter so very much. It never stops ,however, it's much less frequent. I hope they vacuumed up the mess Belinda.

For some reason, they are running the industrial mower over the piles.  Maybe they want to suck up small leaves instead of large.

Hi Belinda, That looks cool but I can remember the times I raked leaves and the wind came up!  My husband uses a vacuum now so that the leaves can't blow away!

Yesterday morning, I went to the store.  When I came home, I still had leaves on the lawn, although my lawn guys had been here while I shopped.  It's definitely that time of year.

That reminds me of several years ago we lived on a lot with lots of trees. Raking day was Thanksgiving morning and my husband and son would capture dozens of bags and clean the gutters. My husband said before Thanksgiving was pointless as the leaves would continue to fall.

The weekend before the holiday a major wind storm came through and blew all the leaves out of our yard. The guys didn't have to rake one leaf. He prayed for that to happen again but it never has.
